The name "Hawk-eye" was a name adopted when Eastman Kodak acquired the Blair Camera Co. around the turn of the century. Kodak continued to use this iconic Hawk-eye name for decades to come. This camera is the No 3 Kodak Folding Hawk-eye Model 5, with a strong wooden body and covered with a black pin grade cowhide. These cameras were made starting in 1908 through 1909.This camera takes 12 pictures on A-118 size film and features the Bausch & Lomb f/3.5-f64 lens and a Hawk-Eye Rotary shutter with settings of I,B,&T. It also features a reversible brilliant viewfinder, and 2 tripod sockets. This older Kodak camera appears to be in good cosmetic condition for it's age, the bellows has some holes needs to be repair and some leather cover missing. the lens is clean and clear with no scratches, fungus or haze. shutter work well at B,T and I.
